Novusport is a social media game design to promote global sports participation. We've developed an innovative concept to entice people to try new sports regardless of their skill set. Based on the popularity of fantasy sports, and its influence in today's sports consumer society, we set out to create a groundbreaking game we call "the Sports Gamificaiton" Our founder's obsession with sports has been a driving force for Novusport. While watching the Olympic Games as a young boy, he was fascinated with the intensity of the competition between countries and by the array of sports displayed. As an adult, our founder developed a passion for technology and dreamed of a way to combine technology and sports. He began pondering of a unified method to define an athlete's overall physical abilities. At the Beijing games in 2008, he heard sportscaster Bob Costas speculate who was the best athlete at the games. Phelps was the fastest swimmer and Bolt the fastest runner in the world, yet, there was no existing objective method to conclude empirically who was the better overall athlete. He immediately started working to develop a de facto measuring tool to define the unique "sports graph" of an athlete. He wanted to create a platform to entice athletes of all levels to try new sports, regardless of their skill level. He was inspired by the possibility of defining a new breed of athletes -- athletes who are not just exceptional at a single sport, but at many sports.
