Bentley, life on the go! Founded in 1987 by Andy Chelminski, the first Bentley store opened its doors in the Avalon Mall in St-John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Servicing a population of 500, 000 people, it was also the city’s first shop specialized in luggage and travel accessories. Met with success, we opened an additional 8 stores in a span of just one year: through the combination of store openings and acquisitions of some great banners (Unic, Xcetera and Voyageur, to name a few) Bentley quickly expanded Canada-wide. Today, Bentley is available from coast to coast, making us the largest retailer of luggage and travel accessories in Canada. In the summer of 2003, we acquired EVEX stores to act as highly-specialized luggage boutiques and repair shops for individuals and airlines.
