We must all have a passion in life... Daft Cow's founder is an avid outdoor enthusiast, spending as much time as possible enjoying Mother Earth. His favourite past times are hiking and wild camping, the more remote the location, the better! The idea for what Daft Cow Inc. would sell was born out of his love for Mother Earth and his belief that everyone should have the right, to enjoy her as a free man or woman. So why set up an online store? Kristian has collected several tents over the years, yes he does know it's a bit of an odd hobby, but it was in the purchase of one of these tents that he realised that there must be a better way. Now ordinarily Kristian wouldn't purchase his tents online as he has always felt that it's better to touch the tent first, to feel its quality. After recommendations however from friends he took a leap of faith and ordered online. it A well priced (even if postage was a little costly) bivvy bag that promised to be exactly what he was looking for, so he ordered it and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. It turned out that the online store he ordered from were deliberately misleading about their delivery times. Buried in their T's & C's a very small statement read "Our deliveries may take around 6 weeks to arrive", I mean who reads Terms & Conditions right? To top it off, when the product finally arrived it was not the bivvy bag he ordered and the company were impossible to get in touch with to arrange a return. He ended up keeping a bivvy bag he wasn't happy with although he did eventually get his money back but only after raising a dispute with his bank. No customer should ever have to go through this! We made a solemn promise at Daft Cow that none of our customers ever will! Daft Cow Inc. has been founded on the principles: - to never hide delivery times, - to only use manufacturers we already trust, - to never charge a penny or cent in postage and; - to be reachable by the form of communication that suits you best.
