The 3 Counties Energy Agency (3CEA) former (CKEA) was established in 2002 as a partnership between Carlow and Kilkenny local Authorities and the two county development companies. The Agency's aim is to support the development of sustainable energy in Co. Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and beyond. The Agency is committed to providing a comprehensive range of services to all sectors in both counties with a view to implementing sustainable energy projects which are developed using best practice. The Agency works in the fields of energy efficiency, energy management, renewable energy and sustainable transport.The Agency is linked to a network of other energy agencies in Ireland and Europe. It is a founding member of the Association of Irish Energy Agencies (www.aiea.ie) and is the second Irish member of FEDARENE (the European Federation of Regional Energy and Environment Agencies) (www.fedarene.org). The combined experience of the Agency's staff ensures that it can provide a dynamic and comprehensive range of services to all sectors. The 3CEA will lead and support the reduction of CO2 emissions by stimulating and implementing best practice in the field of sustainable energy community & enterprise.
