Ability Centre provides services and support to over 1,700 people living with disability and their families. Since 1951, The Centre has forged an enviable reputation as one of the leading service providers and advocates in our state. From new born infants through to adults later in life, we support people through their whole life journey. We take a genuine interest in the satisfaction of our service users and their families, adding value every step of the way to foster long lasting relationships. Our services and staff are mobile, reaching out into the wider Perth community via our central and northern hub locations, and across regional Western Australia through our Country Resource Program. We are an inclusive organisation and challenge any barrier that prevents us from advancing the independence, productivity and overall quality of life for people with disability in the community.

Brotherhood of St Laurence

The Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) is a social justice organisation working alongside people experiencing disadvantage to address the fundamental causes of poverty in Australia. We believe no one should live in poverty. It’s why we exist. Our purpose is to advance a fair Australia through our leadership on policy reform, our partnerships with communities, and the quality of our services. We think differently and take a unique approach to address the fundamental causes of poverty in our community. Our approach is informed directly by the people experiencing disadvantage and uses evidence drawn from our research, together with insights from our programs and services, to develop practical solutions that work. We are proud to be a strong voice for people experiencing disadvantage. It has been our way since the 1930s when Father Tucker’s activism for social reform amid the Great Depression led to our inception. And today, all Australians can be part of the change.
