Ride On Portland

RideOn Portland is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that both you and your car get home safely after enjoying Portland's nightlife. Pretty cool, huh? RideOn Portland has developed a progressive approach towards the prevention of drunk driving by driving individuals home in their own car. Bicyclists, pedestrians, motorist, we are all in this together – RideOn's aim is to keep us all safe. RideOn is a volunteer-based organization composed of individuals probably a lot like you. We love Portland! We love Portland's nightlife! And we love to partake in all that this vibrant city has to offer. That's why we created RideOn, so we can all enjoy Portland's nightlife safely. RideOn drivers are dispatched to the aid of intoxicated and/or impaired imbibers on Friday and Saturday nights between the hours of 11pm and 3am in an effort to reduce the number of impaired drivers on the street. Thanks to the help of our awesome sponsors, RideOn is able to provide you with this service for just $10 per ride. The cost of our service is intentionally affordable so that making a good decision will be an easy decision at the end of a night out. Not too shabby, eh?

Orphans to Ambassadors

Our Mission: "Orphans to Ambassadors provides disadvantaged and orphaned children the opportunity to rise out of poverty with sustainable education and practices. The skills, knowledge, and abilities that come from developing their own long-term resource solutions empower children and allow them to become ambassadors of goodwill and sustainability to other children and communities around the world" – Jake Gentry, Founder About Us: We are a young nonprofit working with orphans and sustainable technology to create cleaner futures. Not only do the technology, education, and practices give children cleaner water and food, brighter and safer energy, and more free time to be kids, we're also creating renewable foundations in developing countries where any growth means more technology: the cleaner now the better tomorrow. What We Do: Orphans to Ambassadors is making green ideas and technology work in orphanages around the world. We've tapped nature by storing rainwater, halved energy budgets with better-burning brick stoves, and brought 10 more hours to the day for studying and play with LED Lights and small solar panels.

Autism Research and Resources of Oregon

Autism Research and Resources of Oregon (ARROAutism) is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization supporting individuals and families with Autism. Our goal is to nurture families with Autism by providing a center of resources. Historically, families have had to search high and low for services. We aim to change that by bringing resources together in one space. This center will be known as the Oregon Autism Research & Services Center. This Center will have as the core value nurturing of individuals and families of individuals with autism so that they may contribute as appropriate at the level and the time when they are ready to contribute. We also run a number of other projects, including the ARROAutism Family Holiday Assistance Project, a Medical Information Support Group, our ARROAutism Technology Information Project (ATIP), and we partner with other organizations to help them fulfill their community oriented missions. Our fundraising events span the year, and include An Evening for Autism, Sean's Run for ARROAutism, and Rock for Autism. We also receive grants from a number donors, including the Weston Foundation. We are currently an entirely volunteer run organization, including our Executive Director, and we welcome volunteers in various capacities, and encourage individuals on the Autism Spectrum to join our organization in whatever capacity they feel comfortable.
