CUMAC is a nonprofit organization that has been serving Paterson, NJ for over 30 years. Our mission is to feed people & change lives. We work to alleviate hunger & its root causes in Paterson, Passaic County & northern NJ. To that end we operate 5 key programs: 1. Our Choice Marketplace, which provides approximately 5 days of healthy groceries each month to clients. Clients can choose from fresh produce, frozen meat, and pantry staples. This program provides food assistance to an average of 3,400 people per month. 2. The Depot distributes shared food resources to a network of over 40 partner feeding programs. CUMAC's warehouse, refrigeration, trucking & equipment make us uniquely capable to serve this role & ultimately provide over 2 million lbs. of food each year. 3. The Community Closet is a resource for both disaster recovery & building the self-sufficiency of neighborhood residents. It provides free clothing & household items to families experiencing hardship while excess is sold at a nominal cost to the community, and all proceeds support our programs. 4. The Place of Promise is a permanent supportive housing program which endeavors to serve men and women with disabilities who are chronically homeless. 5. The Benefits Enrollment Center (BEC) provides free assistance with benefits applications for adults aged 65+ and adults living with a disability residing in Passaic County. In addition to these programs, CUMAC runs a number of seasonal drives to address particular community needs, and takes an active role in advocacy on behalf of our clients.

Sexual Trauma Awareness & Response (STAR)

Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response (STAR) is a nonprofit organization committed to serving youth and adult survivors of sexual trauma and building institutional capacity to prevent and respond responsibly to sexual violence in the community. Our organization's roots are in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where we began as the Stop Rape Crisis Center, a division of the East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office, in 1975. In 2012, the agency became STAR and transitioned into a 501c3 non-profit organization to expand services, increase education and outreach efforts, and, as a separate, non-governmental entity, to ensure confidentiality with clients. STAR now also serves a wide population of survivors, including children who have been sexually abused, adults who were sexually abused as children, and those who have faced sexual harassment, sexual battery and assault, rape and attempted rape. In 2015, a Louisiana philanthropist with first-hand knowledge of the lack of services for survivors of sexual trauma in the Greater New Orleans area searched nationally for a model that might serve that area. After becoming aware of STAR's services in Baton Rouge, the philanthropist funded a New Orleans office for STAR which opened on January 1, 2016 and serves survivors throughout Jefferson, Orleans and St.Tammany Parishes. The following year, STAR was called upon again to expand its services, this time in Alexandria, where it now serves survivors in Avoyelles, Grant, Rapides and Vernon Parishes. In 2017, after developing an outstanding legal program, STAR was honored by the Louisiana Bar Association with their "Legal Services Innovation Award." In 2018, The Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organization (LANO) recognized STAR as a finalist for "Nonprofit Organization of the Year."

Independent Living Resource Center, Inc.

Independent Living Resource Center, Inc. (ILRC) is a non-residential, consumer controlled, not for profit organization that provides services and support for individuals with disabilities in Southern Callaway, Camden, Cole, Miller, Morgan, Moniteau and Osage Counties in Missouri. ILRC realizes that building skills and confidence to live an independent lifestyle requires special programs, peer support, assistance in obtaining equipment, learning to manage personal care attendants, and much more. The skilled staff at ILRC is there to help provide advocacy and services that allow persons with disabilities a way to achieve these things and to live independently.

Valley Teen Ranch

Valley Teen Ranch in Fresno & Madera, California offers a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program at the Ranch, Family Foster Agency, Adoption Services, and a Transitional Living Home.

Betty Griffin House

As a private, nonprofit agency 501 (c) 3, the Safety Shelter of St. Johns County, Inc., dba: Betty Griffin House, provides emergency shelter to abused women and their minor children and temporary shelter for rape victims in danger after the crime. Other support services available to shelter residents and nonresidents include a 24-hour crisis hotline, individual and group counseling, case management, civil legal representation, and court advocacy. Betty Griffin House provides all services to men who are abused with separate accommodations.
