Helwaser Gallery

Established in Paris in 1986, Helwaser Gallery specializes in Post-war and Contemporary art, featuring seminal artists such as Alexander Calder, Helen Frankenthaler, Adolph Gottlieb, and Yayoi Kusama. The gallery was originally located in rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore, Paris, and initiated noteworthy exhibitions, including a retrospective on Jean Dubuffet (1996), curated in partnership with Galerie Pascal Lansberg. Other exhibitions include "Rencontre de Personnages (An Encounter between Figures)", which presented a rich selection of French cubist masters, notably George Braque, Jean Metzinger, and Pablo Picasso (2004). In 2008, Helwaser Gallery marked its inaugural relocation to New York with the exhibition "Red", which brought together Post-War artists, such as Hans Hofmann, Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. In 2019, Helwaser Gallery will open its new Upper East Side gallery space with a public exhibition program. The program will promote emerging and established contemporary artists, working across the mediums of painting, sculpture, and cinema. The exhibition program centers on national histories and geographies, and aims to connect with significant historical cultural movements. This focus on contemporary projects continues to be paired with a yearly exhibition devoted to post-war and contemporary art, linking the history of the gallery with its new curatorial vision. More details on participating artists will be announced in Winter 2018. During the pandemic, Corey expanded her work into the fine art world, discovering her passion for painting. She has created many commissioned art pieces and wall murals for clients nationwide.
