As the official training institution of Alberta Ballet Company, Alberta Ballet School's mission is to inspire all students to reach their full potential and foster a life-long connection to dance. Established in 1991, the School offers unparalleled training to dancers of all ages, levels and abilities. Experienced faculty deliver dedicated programs to meet students' dance training needs. The Open Division focuses on providing high-quality dance training for those students who love to dance. The Professional Division is for those students who are working toward a career in dance. Over 900 students enroll at Alberta Ballet School each year. Alberta Ballet School currently offers two streams of programming: the Professional Division and the Open Division. The Open Division focuses on delivering high-quality training for the community - from those who wish to dance once a week to those who wish to pursue more intensive training - with dedicated programs for ages 3 and up that are specifically designed for their needs. The Professional Division provides internationally recognized intensive training for those who aspire to a career as professional dancers.
