Insurance Agents' Co-Operative was established in 1969 under the name LaVan Insurance Agency as a retail insurance agency serving the local community. Putting our clientele first has always been the driving force in everything we do. Identifying there was a gap in the market for our clientele as well as for small to mid-sized agencies is what prompted the creation of our MGA division, now known as Insurance Agents' Co-Operative, in 2006 Insurance Agents' Co-Operative has the unique perspective of knowing not only what their agent force needs but what the carriers need as well. This allows us to create, implement & underwrite successful, profitable insurance products for the marketplace. We do not represent a large group of carriers nor do we write a large group of classes, but prefer to specialize in a few niche markets that we can maximize our keen insights, exceptional underwriting ability and develop long term, lasting relationships with our carriers. For our agents, we provide products they can sell and deliver in a quick, easy process which allows them to maximize the time spent quoting & binding a risk. Our philosophy is simple, we give the agent what they need immediately so they can write more business. In doing so, we created a "service designed with the independent insurance producer in mind"℠ and have taken the headache out of the commercial insurance process.
