Cruise World specializes in helping customers plan for ocean cruises and river cruises on all major cruise lines. We are based in Edmonton, Alberta, and started trading in October 1991. Since then, our products have grown to include all travel services including vacation packages, independent travel, travel insurance and foreign currency exchange. Our Mission We support and nurture the enhancement of culinary tourism in Alberta so that Alberta's culinary assets are known, savoured, and grown through visitor experiences. Our Vision We work to acheive a vision in which Alberta offers a wider range of high-quality culinary tourism experiences that appeal to locals and is regarded internationally as a premier visitor destination for culinary tourism experiences. Our Board We are a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. The Board has diverse membership from across Alberta's culinary tourism work, including producers, restauranteurs, hoteliers, and representatives of tourism organizations.

Culinary Tourism Alliance

The Culinary Tourism Alliance is a not-for-profit, industry leading association that develops world-class food tourism strategies and implementation plans. We are leaders in experiential food tourism product development, industry education and training, and strategic partnership development. We specialize in developing local ‘taste of place’ into a comprehensive tourism experience that fosters local economic development and positions the region as a food tourism destination. We have extensive experience working closely with the tourism, hospitality, and agriculture sectors. Our mission is to help build regional and community identities by supporting agriculture, viticulture and aquaculture resources across the food tourism value chain, which we accomplish by fostering stakeholder engagement and relationship building that results in new and / or enriched food tourism experiences. In addition to completing the ten-year Ontario Culinary Tourism Strategy in 2015, we were instrumental in the development of the critically acclaimed Blue Mountains Apple Pie Trail, Windsor Essex's Barrels, Bottles & Brews Trail, the Oxford County Cheese Trail, and our own Feast On™ designation program. We are an Affiliate Member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, a member of their Gastronomic Tourism Network, and participated in their Forums on Gastronomic Tourism since 2016. In 2015, we partnered with Skift Inc. to develop the report: Rise of Food Tourism, and our Feast On™ program was profiled in their 2016 report: Food Tourism Strategies to Drive Destination Spending. Our Feast On™ certification program was developed to promote a region's authentic taste of place, enable communities to share and tell their stories with pride, and nurture industry and consumer confidence in local food and drink. It is our goal to #GrowFoodTourism globally by working with locals to create sustainable, authentic, and meaningful tourism experiences through food and drink.
