Queenwood is an independent, K-12 girls' school committed to a liberal education – an education which, at its core, develops rigorous thinking and the practice of inquiry. In their personal and intellectual development, we both support and stretch our girls, encouraging increasing engagement with the wider world. Our aim is to develop in our students the character, disposition and skills they will need to flourish in and contribute to a world of complexity and change.  Queenwood provides a well-balanced curriculum that caters to individual differences and reflects our purpose of stimulating a lifelong awakening to the complexity of the world. From Kindergarten to Year 12, our programs are unusual in their richness and breadth and are delivered by specialist teachers.  We are a learning community in which each girl is known and supported within a strong pastoral care program and we take pride in the achievements of our IB and HSC graduates and our alumnae in many and varied fields.

Mansfield has a mayor-council government. Republican Timothy Theaker has been Mansfield's Mayor since December 2011. Mansfield city council is an eight-member legislative group that serve four-year terms. Six of the members represent specific wards; two are elected city-wide as at-large council members. Democrat Phillip Scott has been Mansfield's council president since November 2007. As of the census of 2000, there were 49,346 people, 20,182 households, and 12,028 families residing in the city.

Teach First Deutschland gemeinnützige GmbH

Teach First Deutschland ist eine gemeinnützige Initiative für mehr Chancengerechtigkeit im Bildungssektor. Derzeit bestimmt die soziale Herkunft in Deutschland maßgeblich den Bildungserfolg. Das Projekt schickt persönlich und fachlich herausragende Hochschulabsolventinnen und -absolventen aller Studienrichtungen als Fellows (Lehrkräfte auf Zeit) für je zwei Jahre an Schulen in schwierigen Umfeldern, um mittelfristig die Leistungen von Schülerinnen und Schülern zu verbessern. Langfristig engagieren sich ehemalige Fellows aus verschiedenen Positionen in Bildungswesen, Wirtschaft, Politik und Verwaltung für Bildungsgerechtigkeit. Das Programm startete 2009 und läuft derzeit an Schulen in Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Hamburg, Nordrhein-Westfalen und Thüringen.
