Beaumont Hospital

Beaumont Hospital (incorporating St. Joseph's Hospital, Raheny) is the principal teaching hospital for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Beaumont is the Lead Hospital of the RCSI Hospital Group, which includes; Connolly Hospital, Rotunda Hospital, Monaghan Hospital, Louth County Hospital Dundalk and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda. In addition, we are a Designated Cancer Centre and the Regional Treatment Centre for Ear, Nose and Throat, and Gastroenterology. We are also the National Referral Centre for Neurosurgery and Neurology, Renal Transplantation, and Cochlear Implantation. We employ over 3,500 staff and have 820 beds. Beaumont Hospital also enjoys close links with Dublin City University, especially in the area of nurse training, and with other academic institutions in respect of training and research. Children’s Health Ireland (CHI)

Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) was established in 1 January 2019. This saw Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin, Temple Street Children’s University Hospital and paediatric services at Tallaght University Hospitals come together and integrate into one organisation to deliver healthcare to Ireland’s children, in preparation for the opening of the new children’s hospital at St James's Hospital in Dublin. CHI governs and operates acute paediatric services for the greater Dublin area and all national paediatric services, some of which are on an all-island basis. It is also the client for the new children’s hospital project, including its two new outpatient and urgent care centres. As an academic healthcare organisation, CHI is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare through our triple mission of integrated services, education and research and innovation.
