Girls Who Code is an international non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. With their 7-week Summer Immersion Program, after school Clubs, College Loops program and New York Times best-selling series, they are leading the movement to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the computing skills to pursue 21st-century opportunities. Mission To provide comprehensive community-based services to meet the needs of Korean-American seniors and families to enhance their quality of life. Vision Hanul Family Alliance strives to be a leading organization by becoming an efficient, effective, and supportive provider of social services to an ever changing Korean-American community. History Hanul Family Alliance was founded in 1987 as a Korean American Senior Center to meet the needs of primarily limited-English-speaking Korean elderly. Today, the agency annually serves over 7,000 individuals and families of all ages and ethnicities by providing a broad range of community services to meet the diverse needs of our community members. Our main office in Chicago, located in Albany Park, still serves as the comfort zone for our Korean seniors that reside in many different senior buildings in the north side of the city. Since the inception of our new mission and vision, it also serves as a resource center for a wide variety of ethnic populations in the neighborhood. Our suburban satellite office in Mt. Prospect was established in 1999 to meet the needs of changing immigrant populations with rapid suburbanization. Today, our suburban office in Mt. Prospect conveniently serves our clientele spread throughout the north and northwest suburbs.

A Place Called Home

A Place Called Home (APCH) is a safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where under-served youth are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts and well-being, and are inspired to make a meaningful difference in their communities and the world. Core programs work in conjunction with one another to support APCH members in avoiding destructive behaviors by developing life skills and providing motivation to overcome adversity, make healthy, productive choices and take advantage of the opportunities which lie before them. Home of Guiding Hands has provided services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 50 years. We are one of the largest providers in San Diego and Imperial Counties, reaching more than 4,500 infants, children, adolescents, and adults with special needs each year. HGH provides a plethora of services to our clients, including Residential Services, Respite, Adult Foster Homes, Tailored Day Program, Independent Living Skills, Early Childhood Development and more.

The Institute for Citizens & Scholars equips young people with the civic skills necessary to navigate a divided country and become effective leaders. We partner with leaders in higher education, business, and philanthropy to design programs that build Gen Z’s abilities to find and use reliable information, engage in productive conversations, and collaborate across differences to strengthen America. Since our founding in 1945 as the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, the Institute for Citizens & Scholars has prepared new generations of citizens by opening doors to higher education, supporting visionary thinkers, scholars, and teachers, and creating thoughtful innovations in and beyond education. As America approaches its 250th birthday, growing polarization threatens our national unity, democracy, and security. We can’t afford to wait—we must address this divisiveness now. To chart a peaceful path forward, we need a new vision for what it means to be an effective citizen.
