Shadow Lake Centre

Since 1965, Shadow Lake Centre has been proudly owned and operated by Community Living Toronto, offering a year-round facility where people with special needs can experience the magic of camp. Our summer program hosts over 500 guests and 100 dedicated staff, offering personalized, self-directed adventures that create lasting memories. In addition to our summer program, we also provide off-season rental facilities for community groups seeking an inspiring outdoor retreat. From September to May, Shadow Lake is open to a variety of community groups eager to enjoy our beautiful natural surroundings. Our two fully furnished houses, seven cozy cabins, dining hall, and fully equipped industrial kitchen make us the perfect venue for schools, scouts, guides, yoga retreats, faith groups, and more.

ACDS, Inc.

ACDS, with headquarters in Plainview, NY, is dedicated to providing lifetime resources to individuals with Down syndrome, autism, and other developmental disabilities. Since 1966, the agency has been helping those living with developmental disabilities develop to their fullest potential. On Long Island, ACDS works with people from birth through adulthood and offers programs for entire families. ACDS currently serves more than 1,000 people through early intervention and special education preschool programs; respite and recreation programs for children, teens, and adults; Medicaid Service Coordination; Self-Direction; Opportunities Day Habilitation; and eight supervised group homes. Mirroring the successful outcomes of its special education preschool on Long Island, ACDS opened a preschool for ages three through five in Westchester, NY, in 2016.

The Society of Transport & Logistics - University of Moratuwa was established in the year 2007 as the the professional body of staff and students of the Department of Transport and Logistics Management, Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa with the aim of accomplishing following objectives. Objectives of the Society The objectives of the Society are to: 1. Promote professional interest in regard to Transport and Logistics Management among its members. 2. Establish closer interaction among members to share exchange and discuss issues relating to the managerial, technological, societal and scientific, developments as applicable to Transport and Logistics Management in its widest context. 3. Raise and mobilize resources for the development of Transport and Logistics Management, University of Moratuwa. 4. Create a better awareness among the general public of the role of Transport and Logistics Management. 5. Explore and provide opportunities to fulfill its social responsibility to the community it serves especially in terms of contributions in professional advice and participatory social projects. 6. Identify inherent capabilities of the members and to promote their leadership skills and professionalism. 7. Enhance the image of the Department of Transport and Logistics Management at the University of Moratuwa, among society at large and to assist in continually improving the quality of the course in Transport and Logistics Management. 8. Promote, explore and assist in the development of new career opportunities for Transport and Logistics Management graduates. 9. Create closer links with the industry for the mutual benefit of both parties in collaborative research, consultancy and professional career development. 10. Assist students having particular needs to successfully complete their studies in Transport and Logistics Management.
