SASA, polyester, elyaf, filament iplik, polyester bazlı polimerler, özel polimerler ve ara ürünlerde dünyanın önde gelen üreticilerinden biridir. Polyester sektöründeki üretimine 1966 yılında başlayan SASA, kuruluşundan bugüne, aralıksız yatırımlarıyla hızlı büyüme sürecini hep sürdürdü.SASA, polyester sektöründeki öncülüğünü sürdürmek ve bu konumunu daha da güçlendirmek amacıyla 2000 yılında dünya kimya devi Dupont ile joint-venture tarzı ortaklık kurdu ve DupontSA adını aldı. Sabancı Holding’in, 2004 yılında Dupont hisselerini satın almasıyla, DupontSA ismi, ADVANSA olarak değiştirildi. Grubun Türkiye organizasyonun adı da 2005 yılında ADVANSA SASA Polyester Sanayi A.Ş. oldu.2011 yılında ise Sabancı Holding, ADVANSA BV’ye ait tüm hisseleri satın aldı ve Eylül 2011’de ADVANSA SASA olan adını SASA olarak değiştirdi. 30 Nisan 2015 itibariyle, Sabancı Holding hisseleri ERDEMOĞLU Holding tarafından satın alınarak, ortaklık yapısı % 51 ERDEMOĞLU Holding, % 49 halka arz edilmiş hale gelmiş oldu. 2015 yılı Ağustos ayında tamamlanan zorunlu pay alım süreci sonunda, ERDEMOĞLU Holding A.Ş.’nin SASA Polyester Sanayi A.Ş.’de sahip olduğu hisse oranı %84,80’e ulaşmıştır. Bünyesinde Nobel, ICI ve Dupont teknolojilerini barındıran SASA, 4 bin 300’ü aşkın nitelikli çalışanı, yüksek kapasiteli öncü üretim tesisleri ve 2002 yılında kurulan Araştırma Geliştirme Merkezi ile güçlü bir teknik altyapıya sahiptir. SASA’nın, Adana’da, entegre üretim tesislerinin yer aldığı 2.181.000 m² alan üzerinde kurulu merkez işyeri, İskenderun’da 55.625 m² kendi hammadde depolama tesisi, İstanbul ve Ankara’da da irtibat büroları bulunmaktadır.

Founded in 1988, Betek Boya Kimya ve Sanayi A.Ş. developed high-quality concrete admixtures, ready-mixed mortars, and waterproofing materials. In the following years, it added construction paints to its product range. It was in 1993 when Betek first stepped into decorative coatings as a result of its technological collaboration with DAW, the largest manufacturer in Europe, and it became the first Turkish paint company to engage in manufacturing with a European partner. Betek became the market leader in the paint industry in 2001 and created the Filli Boya brand. With almost 1,300 employees and over 5,000 sales points, Betek is one of Turkey’s leading industrial enterprises. Betek started its heat insulation activities in 2003, and took over the role as leader in the sector. Adhering to EU paint standards since 1993, Betek owns following management systems: ISO 9001, ISO 10002, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 50001, IATF 16949. Betek, with a production facility in Egypt, has started manufacturing heat insulation systems at its facilities in Kayseri and Balıkesir. Our story began in 1942 Cookson from Wallsend near Newcastle upon Tyne in England starts producing lead salts as stabilisers for flexible PVC. Shortly after, Cookson opens a production plant in Sydney/Australia. In 1976, when Akdeniz Kimya was incorporated in İzmir, Turkey as a company to manufacture and market PVC stabilizers and other industrial chemicals. In 1986, the German stabiliser manufacturers Chemetall and the English Cookson Group merged their activities into a single joint venture as Chemson with headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The company began operating from sites in Germany, England and Australia. In 2000 Chemson Polymer Additive AG is founded in Arnoldstein/Austria as a part of a management buy out. In 2012, Akdeniz Kimya joined Turkey’s OYAK Group of companies. One year later, the Chemson Group became part of the OYAK Group as well.
