Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware

Since 1931, Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children and teens across Delaware. We are the largest licensed provider of childcare in Delaware and the only statewide Boys & Girls Club in the nation. Every day girls and boys are left to find their own recreation and companionship. An increasing amount of kids are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know they have a place in their community where they can go. Clubs provide a safe haven for youth, allow them to meet with friends and be a part of positive peer groups. Club programs teach life skills, conflict resolution and focus on the development of character. Clubs also provide members with positive role models and a nurturing environment that help improve decision-making skills.

Developing World Connections

Developing World Connections is a non-profit organization that offers individuals and groups of any age and background the chance to help those in need in the developing world through international volunteer experiences. Spend one to four weeks working side-by-side with locals on a sustainable, community-led project in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Explore the world, lend a hand and help build hope. We are a Canadian charitable organization with no professional, political or religious affiliation. Pacific Autism Family Network

The Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN) is a network of supports for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families across the province. The PAFN's core purpose is to bring together state of the art resources for research, information, learning, assessment, treatment and support; and building capacity to address the lifespan needs of individuals with ASD and related disorders. Serving British Columbians and ultimately all Canadians is a priority of the PAFN. The centre of knowledge and innovation involves the opening of the brand new GoodLife Fitness Family Autism Hub in Richmond, and the eventual opening and operation of spokes located in communities across the province, in collaboration with local community partners. The spoke centres will have full access to the expertise and information services offered at the hub. The PAFN is the first organization of its kind dedicated to knowledge creation and knowledge translation targeting applied models that can easily be shared and disseminated to families on the ground. It will be a place that will attract a whole new generation of thinkers and researchers – the people who want to bring to life innovative, practical, and effective clinical programs, which up until now, have not been developed due to limited access to an environment that fosters interdisciplinary collaboration over the long term. With the establishment of the Hub, we have the chance to see, track and examine patterns – to look at similar groups and test approaches that may have been identified in isolated cases and can now be applied to a broader demographic. Autism is emerging as one of the most pressing issues of our times. The Pacific Autism Family Network is a once-in-history chance for British Columbia to leverage our excellence on behalf of BC families, communities throughout Canada and – increasingly – people all over the world.

lipservice is an all-out Jimmy Fallon style lip sync battle held in Vancouver, BC at Imperial Vancouver. As a bonus to the hilarity on stage, lipservice is raising funds for imagine1day, a local Vancouver charity creating global change through their education-focused work in Ethiopia. Come support (heckle) a friend who's gracing the stage, or get the heck up there yourself! This night of syncing, drinking, dancing and changing the world simply should not be missed.
