Fòs Feminista

Fòs Feminista is as an intersectional feminist organization centered around the sexual and reproductive rights and needs of women, girls, and gender-diverse people. Led and governed by the South, Fòs Feminista works with a growing ecosystem of organizations in 35+ countries to provide access to sexual and reproductive health care and to advocate for the sexual and reproductive justice of women, girls, and gender-diverse people to be protected and respected in every dimension of their lives. We recognize that the ability to make free and informed choices about sexual and reproductive health, including to access to safe and legal abortion, is central to their life plans and to achieving sexual and reproductive justice. In 2020, Fòs Feminista undertook a bold process to redefine itself as an anti-racist, anti-ableist, decolonial, and intersectional feminist organization. This transformation laid the foundations for the formation in June 2021 of a new feminist alliance that brings together the work of the International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC) and the Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE) under the leadership of Fòs Feminista. Fòs Feminista is integrating the expertise of each organization, bringing together sexual and reproductive health care and education, advocacy for gender and reproductive justice, and trust-based grantmaking to grassroots activists and organizations. The launch of this exciting new feminist alliance will maximize the collective impact of these organizations at a time when the world needs diversity in leadership and an unapologetically feminist voice for sexual and reproductive health and rights in global spaces.

iMentor

iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower students to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions. Since 1999, iMentor has connected more than 30,000 students with mentors. In the next 5 years, iMentor will scale to serve even more mentor-mentee pairs. In New York City, Baltimore, Chicago, and the San Francisco Bay area, iMentor partners with public schools to ensure every student in the schools receives a mentor. Across the country, iMentor provides nonprofit partners the tools to run their own high-impact programs in the iMentor model. This includes a technology platform, a research-based curriculum, and program analysis tools. iMentor has been recognized through funding by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Lumina Foundation, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, and the Robin Hood Foundation, and is a subgrantee of the federal Social Innovation Fund. iMentor is one of the most innovative and quickly growing organizations of its kind in the country. The Jed Foundation (JED)

What We Do: The Jed Foundation (JED) is a nonprofit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. How We Do It: Our evidence-based, comprehensive public health approach equips teens and young adults with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and each other, strengthens schools’ mental health and suicide prevention policies, programs and systems, and mobilizes community awareness, understanding, and action. Vision: JED is building a future where every high school, college, and community has a comprehensive, fair, and just system that protects emotional health and prevents suicide among teens and young adults.
