The Kindness Rally

The Kindness Rally is a nonprofit organization that works with local communities and organizations to put on random act of kindness road rallies around the world. We work as best we can to have most events on the same day around to create a ripple of positivity and encourage more teams to participate. A community can start with just one team of 4-5 people, or have hundreds of teams! In this family-friendly competition, teams will receive a list of random act of kindness "challenges" that involve helping others and bettering the community. From cleaning up trash and writing thank-you notes to carrying groceries to the car, teams will work to cross off challenges to see who has done the most good deeds by the end of the event. The Kindness Rally works with local businesses to gain sponsors that provide event shirts and supplies for each team's "kindness kit." The kit includes all the crafting materials and other tools needed to perform the act of kindness challenges. Teams use social media to showcase their community impact and encourage others, so follow #TheKindnessRally hashtag to see all the positive change created during The Kindness Rally! Black Chamber of Greater Kansas City, Inc.

The Black Chamber was conceived and started in late 1984 by fourteen (14) local Black business owners as a vehicle through which to promote, sustain and maintain economic progress for Black-owned enterprises in the metropolitan area, and as a medium for ensuring the participation of such businesses in the overall business and economic development plans of the area.

The Green Lab (NZ)

The Green Lab creates indoor and outdoor green spaces that support strong social connections and wellbeing. Our green spaces enable community building and connect people with nature in the urban environment. We see design as a social process of co-creation and capacity building. Where possible and relevant we take a participatory placemaking approach that involves end-users of the space in the design and construction of that space.
