Mission Statement: The Habitat Institute's mission is to create knowledge to enhance, maintain and value earth's natural habitats and their biodiversity through time. Vision Statement: Our Natural systems include air, climate, functions, habitats, landscapes, and species; they are alive, complex, interrelated, ever-changing, and sometimes even spiritual. We need them, though it is humbling to admit that they do not need us. Because of this relationship and our ability to alter and degrade them, we need to take proactive steps to ensure that these Natural systems are maintained, will thrive, and be available, viable, and functioning for us and future generations. Therefore, our vision is to treat our natural resources as an asset that we will pass foreword to future generations with an increase in their value. ./Since 1998, a scientific and educational charity organization.

Consejo Nacional de Biogás A. C.

El CNBiogás tiene como objeto social el impulsar el desarrollo sustentable de la cadena de valor del sector biogás, a partir del aprovechamiento energético de residuos, mediante la colaboración, el desarrollo de capacidades y soluciones técnicas, la comunicación e incidencia en las políticas públicas relacionadas. Una característica importante de esta nueva asociación es que busca integrar a todos los actores involucrados en la cadena de valor del biogás en México. No es una agrupación empresarial o académica; busca ser incluyente, al reconocer que sólo con la participación de todos los interesados en la materia se podrá realmente incidir en el avance de esta opción sustentable para el manejo de residuos orgánicos. Los socios, tanto personas físicas como morales, están agrupados en seis categorías, cada una de las cuales tiene un representante o vocal en el Comité Directivo. Las categorías son: 1) Academia, 2) Profesionales independientes o micro-empresas, empresas o instituciones que pueden ser 3) Pequeñas, 4) Medianas o 5) Grandes; y finalmente 6) Social (otras AC, ONGs, entre otros). Con base en esta estructura, el CNBiogás conjuntará una diversidad de experiencias y opiniones de sus socios expertos para así articular propuestas, proyectos y estrategias con el fin de lograr los objetivos de la asociación y contribuir a la consolidación de la producción y aprovechamiento del biogás en México.
