The brand KAVERI began in 2011, for a very personal reason. I had trouble getting dressed. In my mind, I was seeing these beautiful, edgy, unique linen clothes that would drape and flow and I could not find them anywhere, and definitely not in my size or budget. So I simply started making clothes for myself and for my friends, with 3 tailors in the backyard of my parent’s home in Chennai, making 30 garments a month. I've always looked at clothing through the lens of confidence and empowerment. I have focused that lens on understanding what women need and being able to provide for that in the way we know how - to make honest clothing that allows you to be natural & yourself! To be comfortable, joyful & confident in styles & silhouettes that embrace and enhance different body types. One day - ten years ago - when a friend suggested I show my work at an exhibition in Mumbai – I mustered up my courage and put together a collection of 300 garments for the show. We sold 270 of those 300 and since then there has been no looking back! Today we are a team of 70, with our in-house design, printing, embroidery & production facilities and our own flagship store in Chennai. We are stocked in India’s finest multi-designer boutiques. The brand has an international presence with stores in France, Spain, Portugal, Reunion, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Qatar and Lebanon

We believe that with scientific approach to sportswear we can give extra performance advantage to the sportsman in you. Sports is where we push our body to its limits. We constantly improvise and enhance our abilities, techniques and skill. Similarly we have taken manufacturing to its technical limits. We experiment with latest available global manufacturing process and implement them on a large manufacturing scale. Earlier technologies like Moisture management, Anti-microbial, 3d-knit etc... were available only with a select few International brands which charged a hefty premium for the products. Our endeavour is to provide the general customer with a high quality alternate without compromising on the technology. Our vertically integrated production chain include state of the art facilities ranging from Product design, knitting, dyeing, digital printing, finishing, cutting, sewing, embroidery & packaging . With a vision about Sustainable future and being a responsible brand, water conservation, energy savings, and minimal use of resources also receive special focus in each of our facilities. The brand started as a small idea by a small set of people who quit their plush MNC jobs and bet everything to get this ‘crazy’ idea going. There was no seed capital. There was no time to buzz around government schemes or subsidies. The management team comprised of 5 young entrepreneurs from various backgrounds in their early 20’s betting every single penny of their savings to grow this brand with all heart & soul. The production team now comprises of hundreds of skilled workers, technicians, and other employees who strongly believe in their ideas and work tirelessly to full-fill the vision. The biggest pride is our customers who have deep trust in our products and have made us one of the largest sportswear manufacturers in the Country.
