You know how trade show exhibitors often take the "Field of Dreams" approach, thinking that by simply showing up, people will magically enter their booth (either in-person or virtual)? I solve that by providing exhibit marketers with the tools and strategies they need to gather more qualified leads, outshine their competition, and maximize their exhibit investment – whether in-person or virtual. I'm an educator and advocate for your trade show success! Why is this my focus? When I started exhibiting at trade shows, there were no resources available where I could learn (or at least I wasn't aware of any), so I had to learn the hard way. After a few shows, I began to notice things I did or didn't do that worked well, while everyone around me was complaining. In addition, I helped organized a few shows, so that offered a unique perspective most exhibitors don't have. So I started making notes at shows where I exhibited or attended … soon I decided to begin teaching other exhibitors and used those notes as the basis of my book, Build a Better Trade Show Image. Since then, as an exhibit marketing consultant and trainer, I've worked with thousands of exhibitors across the country in all kinds of industries, from local consumer expos to some of the largest trade shows in the U.S. I host the Trade Show Insights blog/podcast and have created the Exhibit Marketers Academy & the Exhibit Marketers Café, an online exhibitor education community. I also wrote a second book, Exhibit Design That Works, and released an updated version of Build a Better Trade Show Image in 2023. (Now a winner of the Best Indie Book Award!) What motivates me to create all these tools is my frustration at the mistakes I see happening at shows and my passion to help exhibitors improve their image so they can achieve their potential and see better results.
